My name is Nick Nixon and I started Interior VUES in the Spring of 2009. As a small, shop at home service, Interior VUES is able to provide customers (like yourself) all over Northeastern North Carolina and Tidewater Virginia with custom window treatments and other practical design services at affordable prices!

Before starting Interior VUES, I worked as Operations Manager of a local design center and before that worked for years doing custom work in construction. While at both, I was able to work closely with clients and clearly discern just what it is that they expect from the products and services they receive. I was also able to witness firsthand both the good and the bad as it relates to the business practices of others... what works and what does not! The following summarizes the lessons I learned and they form the foundation of what you can expect when you choose Interior VUES for your custom window covering and design needs:

• MAKE IT CONVENIENT! What could be easier than a shop at home service where we come to you? The process is simple... 1) Call or email requesting a free consultation; 2) A mutually convenient day and time is chosen; and 3) Interior VUES will bring the samples to your home or place of business so that you can make your choices in the setting in which they will be used!

• GUIDE, DON'T PUSH! Nothing can be more frustrating than dealing with a pushy salesperson who pays absolutely no attention to a word you say! Listening is essential to obtaining necessary information so as to give the best advice and/ or suggestions. You will never feel like you are pushed into buying anything you don't want, need or worse yet, cannot afford! In the end, you should be absolutely happy and satisfied with the choices YOU make!

• NO "TRICKY WORDS AND PHRASES"! Some will say or promise anything to close a sell. And while what they say may not exactly be a lie, it isn't exactly the truth, either. That's just not the way an honest business should be run! Whatever the question, you can always expect a forthright and honest answer! And if I don't have the answer at the time, I'm not going to pretend I do at the risk of giving you wrong or misleading information. Instead, I will do my best to find the answer as soon as possibe can and get back to you!

• TIME IS VALUABLE! Two of the biggest complaints I have heard from clients: 1) "The person I worked with previously seemed to work on their own timetable... they were never on time for appointments and never called when they said they would!"; and 2) "It took months for my window treatments to come in!"

I value your time just as I do my own! When I make an appointment, I will bend over backwards to make sure I arrive on time. And if for some good reason I am running late (it does happen!), I will give you a call and let you know. As for the length of time it takes for products to come in... while I never make it a practice to "over-promise" (see NO TRICKY WORDS AND PHRASES!), I certainly do not use the excuse that so many others do... that "because it's custom it takes longer!" Custom does, of course, take time. But not months! As soon as your selections are made and your deposit clears, your order is made immediately! Then your item(s) are tracked and you are given regular updates as to expected arrival. Most products, including shutters, arrive within 2-3 weeks!

• GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE STARTS AT THE TOP! When you deal with Interior VUES, you are dealing with me, the owner and not an office manager or assistant. When you call, for the most part, my voice is the one you will hear... I will be the one answering your product questions, selling, measuring, ordering, installing and providing any follow-up service that may be required. In essence, you won't be put off on someone else (as is the case in most establishments, simply because they have your money and no longer want to deal with you)... that's just not the way I do business.
